How to Make Better Iced Coffee

How to Make Better Iced Coffee

With the warmer weather, lots of people are swapping out their steaming hot cup of coffee for something cooler and more refreshing. Although, some people don’t like regular iced coffee. Maybe it’s too watered down, not caffeinated enough, not as tasty as they want their refreshing drink to taste, or whatever the reason is. Here are a few tips to step up your iced coffee game to avoid those problems.

  1. Add a tasty creamer

There is no shortage of flavourful creams and creamers out there for you to try. French vanilla, caramel, toasted almond, and much more. Experiment with the different flavours to find the best one for you and add that to your morning cold brews to add a kick of flavour. Or maybe try different percentages of creams to see which one meets your needs.

  1. Add cardamom or cocoa to your coffee filter

You can’t go wrong with having a chai or mocha iced coffee. This is certainly healthier than the last mentioned idea. Grind up some cardamom to add a flair of chai to your iced coffee. Or add some cocoa powder to your filter to make your iced coffee taste more like iced mocha. Next time you’re making a batch of iced coffee remember to add these staple ingredients.

  1. Use coffee ice cubes

You heard that right; Coffee ice cubes. Freeze some coffee in an ice tray and use that finished product in your ice coffee instead of regular ice. This way your drink wont get watered down and you’ll have great tasting iced coffee all the way to the bottom of your drink.

  1. Make your brew stronger

Making iced coffee isn't always as easy as brewing a coffee and throwing ice in it. If you’re wanting to have your coffee as fast as possible, put extra coffee in your filter so it brews stronger. Or if you’re letting your coffee steep over a period of time, make that period of time longer. Some people say 4 hours, others say 12+. Find what works best for you.

Iced coffee will always be a fan favourite because of how versatile it is. You can add so much to it to make it perfect for you. Build your perfect iced coffee today using these tips and you’ll with the warm weather never leaves. Although there is no law saying you can’t still enjoy a nice cup of iced coffee on a cold winter day.
