  1. Secure the work bowl onto the base
  2. Place the power shaft inside the work bowl
  3. Slide on the desired accessory blade
  4. Close the lid
  5. Choose the desired speed. You can also use the pulse button to quickly slice, dice, or chop ingredients
  6. When done, turn off your KitchenAid food processor and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop
  7. Carefully remove the lid and the blade accessory from the work bowl
  8. You can now lift the work bowl from the base and transfer its contents wherever desired

1. Home-Made Chicken Nuggets

Home-made chicken nuggets are a great back-to-school lunch because they’re savoury, high in protein, and easy to eat. 

Serves: 17 chicken nuggets

Ingredients: 

  • Nuggets:
    • 1 pound of chicken breast
    • 1 tablespoon of potato flakes
    • ¾ teaspoons garlic
    • ¾ teaspoons salt
    • ¾ teaspoons of black pepper
  • Breading
    • 1 cup cornflakes
    • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 2 teaspoons of dried parsley

Steps:

Breading:

  1. Pulse 1 cup of cornflakes in a food processor until you get fine crumbs. 
  2. Take the cornflakes out of the food processor and mix them in a bowl with the grated parmesan and dried parsley. 
    1. a. (If you don’t have grated parmesan, you can use the food processor for this too.)
  3. Clean the work bowl of the food processor.

Chicken Nuggets:

4. Next, combine the chicken, potato flakes, garlic, salt, and black pepper in the work bowl of the food processor. Pulse until the chicken mixture is finely ground.

5. Using a tablespoon, portion and shape the chicken mixture for each nugget.

6. Roll the raw nuggets into the breadcrumb mixture we made during steps 1 - 2.

7. Then, bake the nuggets  375°F for 15 min on the middle rack.

8. And voila! Nuggets for lunch. 

2. Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

Who doesn’t love Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches? This is a yummy lunch recipe that will brighten anyone’s day. 

Serves: 4 - 6 sandwiches

Ingredients: 

  • 1 pound of sirloin steak
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • ¾ teaspoons salt
  • ¾ teaspoons of black pepper
  • 6 smoked provolone slices
  • Hot sauce 
  • 4–6 Hoagie rolls

Steps:

  1. Using the food processor, slice the bell peppers and onions. Set these aside
  2. Next, using the food processor again, slice the frozen sirloin steak until you get flakes.
  3. Then, heat butter in a skillet. Add the sliced steak to this and stir-fry. Season with salt and pepper. 
  4. When the sirloin steak slices are half-cooked, add peppers and onions. Stir until the meat is cooked. 
  5. Add hot sauce to taste. 
  6. Next, slice the hoagie rolls and put butter on the top half
  7. Place the cooked mixture into the buns. 
  8. Top the sandwich with cheese (2 slices each.)
  9. You can heat these sandwiches in a microwave or oven toaster to melt the cheese. 
  10. And presto! Yummy Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches.

3. Chicken Quesadillas

Serves: 1 - 2 servings 

Ingredients:

  • Quesadillas
    • 300 grams of chicken breast 300 Grams
    • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
    • 2 grams of Chipotle powder
    • 2 grams of smoked paprika powder
    • ½ teaspoon of salt 
    • 60 grams of grated cheddar 
    • 100 grams of grated mozzarella 
    • 4 pieces of wholewheat tortilla wraps
  • Salsa 
    • 1 garlic cloves
    • 1 large green chilli 
    • 150 grams cherry tomatoes 
    • ½ teaspoon of salt 
    • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Steps:

Salsa:  

  1. Peel and grate the garlic into a bowl. 
  2. Then, coarsely chop the chilli. 
  3. Add the tomatoes, garlic, coriander and chilli to a food processor with salt and olive oil. Pulse until the mixture is chunky smooth. 
  4. Your salsa is done!

Quesadilla:  

5. Next, chop the chicken into small pieces. You can use the food processor for this but only pulse a few times.

6. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.

7. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken, chipotle powder, and smoked paprika. Season this with a pinch of salt.

8. Once cooked, remove the pan from the heat.

9. Mix in the grated cheddar and the grated mozzarella with the chicken.

10. Next, divide this cheese and chicken mixture.

11. Then, place the portioned mixtures only on the half portion of the tortilla wrap so that the wrap can be folded.

12. Next, add oil to the pan and wait for it to get hot.

13. Fry 1 - 2 quesadillas at a time to avoid crowding. Cook for around  1-2 min on each side until golden.

14. Serve the quesadillas with the salsa in a separate container. Enjoy!
